THE CRATER MISSION PROFILE
THE DESCENT PATROL: The journey begins at dawn. We navigate the fog-covered rim before descending 600 meters into the crater floor. As the mist clears, you are greeted by a landscape teeming with life, where predators and prey exist in a high-stakes arena.
THE BLACK RHINO STRONGHOLD: Ngorongoro is one of the few places in East Africa where you have a tactical advantage in spotting the rare and endangered Black Rhino. Our guides use their expert tracking intel to locate these prehistoric giants in the Lerai Forest or on the open plains.
THE LAND OF GIANTS: The crater is home to “Big Tuskers”—ancient bull elephants with ivory that reaches the ground. Witness these massive patriarchs roaming alongside prides of lions that are famous for being some of the largest and most powerful in Africa.
